All Roads Lead to Sumner: Leon Gentry Memorial Headlines August 30 Program at Sumner Speed Plant

Sumner, IL – Race fans across the region are set for one of the biggest shows of the summer as the Midwest Thunder 410 Sprint Car Series rolls through the gates of Red Hill Raceway once again on Saturday, August 30 for the highly anticipated Leon Gentry Memorial.


The action-packed program will also feature a strong support card, including the Midwest Vintage Racers, DIRTcar Modifieds, B-Mods, and DIRTcar Hornets, guaranteeing a full night of wheel-to-wheel action for fans of all divisions.


Gates open early with pit access at 4:00 p.m. and grandstands at 5:30 p.m., followed by hot laps at 6:45 p.m. before racing takes the green.


Ticket Information

  • General Admission: $25

  • Kids (6–12): $5

  • Kids (5 & under): FREE

  • Pit Pass: $40

  • Pit Pass (Kids 10 & under): $25


Red Hill Raceway will also offer full concessions, including food and cold drinks, making it a family-friendly night at the races. Fans are reminded that no coolers are permitted in the grandstands, the facility operates as cash/check only, and personal vehicles are not allowed in the pit area.


With sprint cars, vintage racers, and multiple DIRTcar classes all set to do battle, the Leon Gentry Memorial promises to be one of the can’t-miss events on the late-summer schedule.
