Sneed, Billingsley, Wiggs, Cole, and Morthland Highlight Victory Lane at Southern Illinois Raceway

MARION, IL – Fans at Southern Illinois Raceway were treated to a thrilling night of racing on Saturday as multiple classes took the track, producing dramatic battles, first-time winners, and familiar names in victory lane.



In the Williams Auto Body A Class, Kameron Sneed of Bluford, IL, put together a flawless performance, leading from the pole and holding off a hard-charging Kyle Chady to secure the feature victory. Clarkson Hagan rounded out the podium, while Kameron Chamness and LeRoy Carley completed the top five after working their way through the field.



Over in the Maiers Tidy Bowl Dwarfs, it was Jason Billingsley of Herrin, IL, who claimed the win, edging out Nathan Smith and Kevin Harris in a tightly contested heat that showcased the division’s competitiveness.


The 618 Graphix Restricted Winged Micros brought plenty of fireworks as Jagger Wiggs of Benton, IL, dominated the field from the pole. Wiggs led wire-to-wire, but behind him, Titan Cobin and Natalie Hubbard staged a strong fight for the runner-up spots, finishing second and third, respectively.


In the Ike Dealership Jr. Sprints, White Pigeon, MI’s Ryder Morris had the speed to take the win, fending off Bradon Holt of Metropolis, IL. Tanner Dill rounded out the top three in what proved to be one of the most entertaining youth races of the night.


The Chemstream Race Fuels Mod-Lites saw a commanding drive by Steve Cole of Benton, IL, who took the win from the pole position. Andy Park and Alex Stout followed closely in second and third, while Corey Stephenson battled his way into fourth.


Closing out the night, the Driven Performance Midwest Winged Outlaws delivered high drama. Sam Morthland of West Frankfort, IL, powered his way from the outside of the front row to the checkered flag. Dave Couch and Cora Couch, both from Fredericktown, MO, finished second and third, giving the Couch family a strong showing.
