Denney Charges to POWRi Victory at Macon Speedway

MACON, Ill. — Jacob Denney of Galloway, Ohio, powered his No. 67 machine to victory in the POWRi Midget feature at Macon Speedway, climbing from the outside of the front row to score the win on Saturday night.

Denney held off polesitter Cannon McIntosh of Bixby, Okla., who settled for second after leading early laps. Gavin Miller of Allentown, Pa., started third and kept his machine in contention throughout the 22-lap feature, finishing in the final podium position.

Karter Sarff of Mason City, Ill., gained one spot to finish fourth, while Colton Robinson of Titusville, Fla., rounded out the top five.

Further back, Devin Camfield of Decatur, Ill., delivered one of the strongest charges of the night, climbing from 21st to 12th for a gain of nine positions. His father, David Camfield Jr., also impressed, advancing seven spots to finish 13th. Both earned recognition as hard chargers of the feature.

Other movers included Mack Leopard of Beavercreek, Ohio, who gained two positions to finish eighth, and Brant Woods of Chickasha, Okla., who moved up three positions to claim 11th.

Not all contenders had smooth nights. Joe B. Miller of Millersville, Mo., dropped five spots to finish 14th after starting ninth, while Mark Chisholm and Mitchell Davis both fell four positions from their starting spots. John Barnard of Sherman, Ill., was unable to make the start, recording a DNS.
