Filkins Picks Up First Win of 2025 at Farmington in Mod-Lite portion of Mega Mod Show

FARMINGTON, MO — It was a night to remember for Matt Filkins, who captured his first win of the 2025 season at Farmington in the Mega Mod Show Mod Lites A Feature, earning a cool $800 payday for the victory. Starting from the pole in the No. 07 machine, the West Frankfort, IL driver never looked back, fending off heavy pressure from some of the region’s top contenders.

Matt Suzuki of Harrisburg, IL, settled for the runner-up spot after starting alongside Filkins on the front row, while Chad Kirkpatrick of Sheridan, AR, charged forward one position to round out the podium in third.

Local favorite Dylan Naeger of Festus, MO, slipped one spot to finish fourth, with Mike LaBrot of Farmington, MO, completing the top five. Rounding out the field were Terry James of Winfield, MO, in sixth and Robie Jakoubek Jr. of Festus, MO, in seventh.
