Jade Avedisian gains vengeance to win 5th race of 2023 at Paragon Speedway

Updated: Sep 15, 2023

In her first-ever lap at Paragon Speedway on Friday, Jade Avedisian found herself upside down on the front stretch. On Saturday, her luck changed as she came back with a vengeance on her final lap at Paragon to take the checkered flag.

Avedisian had one of the best comebacks on Saturday grabbing her fifth win of the 2023 season with the Xtreme Outlaw Series - about 26 hours after flipping on the front stretch on Friday. After her flip, KKM (Keith Kunz Motorsports) rolled out a backup Mobil 1, LynK/Toyota #71, and pressed onward. Jade would end up getting a solid top-10 finish in the A-Main at the end of the day - she finished 7th.

On Saturday, she cleared her head after the night she had the night before. During the A-Main, she took the lead from her teammate Ryan Timms and grabbed the victory and grabbed the $5,000 cash prize; putting a considerable checkmark on such a critical weekend before the champion is crowned next month.

“Last night was super tough. Flipping in qualifying is never a good thing. It’s one thing when you flip trying to win a race. When you flip in qualifying, it’s just not a good feeling. There’s no quit in this team, and I’m just truly grateful to be here and happy to be in Victory Lane again.” - Jade Avedisian

After winning her 7th career Xtreme Outlaw Series win, she also brought her 31-point gap down to just a seven-point gap. Six races remain on the schedule and Jade is confident in her team's ability to be able to be the last ones standing at the end of the season.

“I truly feel like this team is very capable of getting the championship. It’s just going to be up to me to limit the mistakes. There’s only six more races to go, so it’s gonna come down to point-for-point. Hopefully, we can do good under the pressure; I feel like we can.” - Jade Avedisian
